Automation & Instrumentation Engineer

The Role: We are looking for an experienced Automation Instrumentation Engineer for a Fixed Term Contract with our client in Richards Bay. We require your extensive working knowledge of control and instrumentation project management, design, installation and commissioning.ÂMinimum educational level:BSc Degree in Electronic Instrumentation Control Engineering (Low voltage)Registration with ECSASkills and Experience: Desired Skills and Experience:10 years control and instrumentation project management, design, installation and commissioning5 years plus AI maintenance experience will be advantageous5 years Automation Instrumentation Engineering exposure in pulp and paperAutomation Instrumentation project managementAutomation Instrumentation system designEnsure compliance to AI standardsQuality assurance of AI installationLead commissioning of AI processesÂEssential Duties and Responsibilities: ÂÂDesigning and developing of new and modified AI engineering systemsResponsible for all relevant AI design packs inclusive of site surveys to obtain relevant AIinformation to base the engineering onUnderstanding and ensuring compliance with relevant AI standards plus health, safety, regulationsand quality standardsLiaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities (e.g. the Nuclear Authority)FAT of AI systemsProject management within cost and time constrained environmentsWorking collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internalstaffGenerating tender documents, compare and evaluate tender responsesPurchasing equipmentAI installation supervisionSAT of AI systemsCommissioning of new and modified plant AI processes
