One of our clients in the Gold Mining sector is seeking an Auditor in Charge to join their Operations Division in Johannesburg.Purpose of the job:Be part of a well-established Internal Audit function that continuously strives to provide quality assurance services to the Mining Companys business. The Audit Team requires an individual with high energy levels, self-driven, sound business acumen and forward thinking attributes to supplement the current team, to execute Sox Compliance Testing in line with the Sox Legislative requirements.The appointee should:Hold a completed CIAHold a completed B.Com or other relevant qualification in Auditing or FinanceHave at least 5 years experience in an Internal Audit Department, post articlesHave a sound knowledge and understanding of the IIA StandardsDemonstrate above average knowledge of the Sarbanes Oxley LegislationHave SAP audit exposureHave knowledge of Commercial, Company, Tax and VAT LegislationBe fully proficient in the full Microsoft Office SuiteHave Team Mate exposureHave basic general IT control evaluation skillsHave the ability to work under pressure and take initiativeExhibit a meticulous and well-organised work methodDemonstrate well-developed written (including reports) and verbal communication skills in EnglishHave sound diplomacy, discretion and interpersonal skillsBe energetic and self-motivated, with an enquiring mindHave advance analytical abilities and pay attention to detailHave indisputable integrity and the ability to maintain confidentialityBe willing and able to work reasonable overtime, over weekends and on public holidays on an ad hoc basisPossess his/her own transport and have a valid code B/EB drivers licenseBe able to travel both locally and internationallyIn addition the applicant should have the following personal attributes:Persuasiveness, listening skills, presentation skills, decisiveness, problem analysis and solving, critical/analytical thinking, lateral thinking, numeracy, assertiveness, co-operation, drive/ambition, empathy, enthusiasm, flexibility, integrity/honesty, self-confidence, self-motivation, social skills, stress tolerance, arithmetic, numerical reasoning, spelling and grammar, verbal reasoning.
