The successful candidate will report to the Winemaker: Fortified Wines.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to :Perform all final corrections to fortified wine products prior to dispatchSampling for the dispatch departmentMonthly stock takingControl and handling of dry goodsWeekly reconciliation of bulk stock and dry goodsOrdering and offloading of dry goodsControl the receipts and storage of intrinsic productsEffective control of Processing systemsMinimum and maximum stock level checks for dry goodsResponsible for monthly excise accounts, MM – ICC and Excise ICC reportsDaily recording of SAP transactions relevant to departmentControl in the blending of fortified wines and filtrationAssist with weigh bridge operating functions when requiredTeam leader of TPM team meetingsImplementing and sustaining TPM standardsEffective leadership of the blending teamMaintain good housekeeping standardsDo physical receipts and dispatch as per weekly bulk programManagement of bulk stock in area of responsibilityLiaise effectively with transporters and internal customersThe successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:A tertiary level qualification in wine making or similarMinimum 2 -3 years of cellar operations and winemaking experienceComputer literacy in MS Office SuiteBasic SAP knowledge would be an advantageAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision (Self-starter)Sound people and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent problem solving skillsOwn transport and willingness to work irregular hoursPunctuality and attendance reliability essentialThe Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
