Assistant Manager / Manager (Live-In)

Well-established company based in Hogsback are seeking a qualified and experienced applicant to join their team.Requirements;Must have matricMust have relevant hospitality qualification(s)Relevant Managerial experience essential (2 - 3 years)Experience working on Semper essentialMust speak fluent EnglishResponsibilities:Bar and restaurantCost stock, manage stock, check and compare supplier prices – even haggle a bit, place ordersCheck and adjust pricing of F&BManage menu for events and the daily optionsLiaise with kitchen and bar staff regarding upcoming events and daily requirementsCheck crockery and cutlery stocks and keep an inventoryHousekeepingCheck room and self-catering inventory.
Staff must tick items after a guest has left and guests must sign for inventory in self-catering units.Room amenity orders must be placed weekly.
Liaise with housekeeping staff regarding orders, but also check items off a spreadsheet.Check rooms for maintenance issues.
Ensure housekeeping staff are doing their jobs effectively.Place flower arrangements in public areas or organize that they are done and are fresh.ReceptionAssist at reception as required.Check the bookings and ensure that communication is occurring between affected departments.Check that emails are being responded to quickly and accurately and quotes are being done correctly and as soon as possible.Understand booking platforms and follow up on issues when necessary.Check till roll supplies and credit card rolls.
Organize with bank for rolls or talk to owners before till rolls run low.
Organize A4 computer paper when supplies are low.Organize calendar for front of house shifts and nighttime duty manager for answering any guest issues.Back OfficeRespond to emails on manager computer.
