Adcorp ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER A vacancy exists for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at a lodge based in the Kruger National Park. This position will report to the Food and Beverage Manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric / Grade 12. At least 2 - 3 years relevant experience. Recognized hospitality or similar qualification will be advantageous. Willing to work shifts, overtime and on public holidays. Must be fully literate and able to read and interpret policies, procedures and communications. Must have a good grammatical application to compile menus, inter-departmental and Management reports. Must be fully numerate to be able to perform relative calculations, statistics and be able to interpret basic accounts and financial statements/ reports/ invoices. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to maintain physical stamina to personally supervise areas of responsibility. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES To assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the smooth running of the Food & Beverage operation. To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them, including daily purchases from the main kitchen. To assist the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure that each outlet is individually profitable. To assist on special projects assigned to him by the Food & Beverage Manager. To liaise with the Executive Chef concerning food matters requested for special functions or events. To replace the Executive Chef during his absence. To assist in monitoring and analysing the activities and trends of competitive restaurants, bars and any other Food & Beverage activity. To assist the Food & Beverage Manager in all administrative jobs in the F&B Office.
