Minimum requirements for the role:
Tertiary Qualification in either Technical Agricultural or a Commercial field or related is essential.
Previous Sales experience having sold within the Agriculture industry is essential.
Previous experience in Plant Nutrition or other Agricultural disciplines would be preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the industry is essential.
Must be prepared to travel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Negotiating contracts and supply agreements with relevant Stakeholders.
Developing the business in all agricultural market sectors and expanding the client base with a focus on key accounts, wholesalers, retailers, distributors and depots.
Conducting market research and gathering market intelligence regarding competitors.
Participating in industry associations, trade shows and conferences.
Conducting client satisfaction surveys as well as building new relationships with customers.
Increasing sales within the Agriculture market, while providing technical support for customers in close cooperation with Agronomists.
Compiling regular sales reports and forecasts.
Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
