The candidate will be required to effectively perform administrative duties in Dis-Chem's promotional activityMinimum Requirements:Essential:Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate2-3 years relevant experience in the retail industry. In depth knowledge of beauty, health, and retail industry.Job Specification:To transcribe changes from the Category Marketing Co-Ordinator, proof reading and checking of all campaigns allocated, and ensuring alignment with the product brief provided by the Advertising Team Lead.Effectively communicate with the Advertising Team Lead, Category Marketing Co-Ordinators as well as the agency.Adhere to the promotional plan and deadlines as well as the process as set out by the Advertising Team Lead.Ensure that consolidated document is completed in full and sent to online for i-paper timeously.Creates and ensures sign off on broadsheet, TV, and Gondola as well as any other promotional activities associated with their promotion activity and ensure Botswana product brief, pricing, gondola ends are accurately completed and sent to the agency along with front page lines.Perform any reasonable request issued by their line manager or senior manager.Follow up with lines for TV and Gondola ends and ensure the excel documents are completed and given to the Advertising Team Lead and agency.Accurately perform duties using Dis-Chem`s internal systems.Complete a brief sheet for all promotions to be used for billing and advertising briefing.Ensure all promotional items are signed off both by the Advertising Team Leader, Group Marketing Communications Manager and the Marketing Director before print date.Ensure sign off of each draft is correct and timelines set are followed as per the Advertising Team Leader.Ensure Artwork is downloaded and saved in the correct file and sent to the agency.Ensure changes given to the agency on each draft is provided correctly and accurately.Ensuring each draft received from the agency is checked thoroughly before giving to the Category Marketing Co-Ordinator.All Buyers changes/ Agency PDF'S/ Advertising Team Lead/Group Marketing Managers scan and excel documents received are saved to the advertising share drive by date.Ensures accuracy by being thorough and check details of the product brief is completed correctly before sending to the agency.Work with the Advertising Team Lead on pagination for RSA and Botswana.Escalate all queries, issues, and findings to the Advertising Team Lead.Ensure Point of sale open files are signed off by the agency and Group Marketing Manager and submit open files to the studio to commence with signage.Ensure signage is checked by the Advertising Team Leader before going to print.Ensuring POS is correct.Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and procedures and standard operating procedures.Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.Ability to build and maintain good relationships with staff, and key functions in the business, keeping in mind the Dis-Chem culture.Competencies:Essential:Knowledge of Marketing Practices and PrinciplesMicrosoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPointAnalytical SkillsAttention to detailEnglish – Read, write, and speak fluentlyAdvantageous:2nd Additional languageSpecial conditions of employment:South African or valid work permitMIE, clear criminal and credit recordValid Driver's license and/or reliable transportONLY SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
