We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Administrator to join our Accounting Team. Reporting to the Manager Accounting, the core focus of this role is to provide support regarding activities relating to the Company's cashbook and Intercompany balances.
Requirement Overview:
To perform the process and ensure Accounting administration & Reconciliations of the Company is in compliance with the Company's related procedures and policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Detailed understanding of the accounting treatment of all Financial Products offered
- Verification and reconciliation of all Gl Accounts, including, Portfolio accounts, Debtor& Creditors, Inventory etc.
- Verification and reconciliation of interface between Contract management system and general ledger.
- Verification and reconciliation of interface between Wholesale system and general ledger.
- Processing of pay-outs, customer refunds and performing of vendor reconciliations
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Administration of concur system & execution of related tasks within the department
- Liaising with relevant intercompany colleagues to ensure accurate processing of all intercompany transactions/balances
- Manage the general ledger and testing of system changes for new products.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Ensure all task are in accordance with ICS requirements and maintain of the designed controls
- Ensure all processes and documents are in accordance with ICS requirements. Responsible for the performance, maintenance and reporting of ICS controls in own area of responsibility.
- Assisting with Ad-Hoc Tasks within the accounting and controlling department as they arise, E.g. New Projects, Stand In Tasks, Headquarter and Region Reconciliations and Surveys.
The ideal candidate will come from a Financial Services background with excellent analytical skills. You must pay attention to detail and process data accurately. You will also have problem solving attributes, be well organised, have negotiation skills and be IT literate. This role will suit someone who stays calm whilst under pressure. Experience
- 1 to 3 years' experience in Accounting
Education
- Matric/Grade 12
- Plus 3 year relevant qualification e.g. B Com or related degree advantageous
