Job Purpose: The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to assist the regional librarian in providing a service to affiliated public libraries in the region.
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)A valid (Code B or higher) driving licenceNB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation: Relevant exposure/experience in a library environment.
Key Performance Areas: Administrative support to the region and affiliated public librariesProvide asset control support servicesProvide personnel administration support services within the officeProvide financial administration support services in the regional officeKnowledge of the following: Computerised Library Management system (LIMS)Asset controlSkills in the following: Written and verbal communicationComputer skills in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)Planning and organisingInterpersonal relationsTeamworkClerical skillsRemuneration: R 216 417- R 254 928 per annum (Salary Level 5)
