MSA Outsourcing Solutions is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will support the accounting department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and processing of financial transactions such as invoices and payments into accounting software and spreadsheets.
Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
Prepare monthly credit card reconciliations.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
Assist with the preparation of VAT / Goods and Services Tax returns.
Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable.
Assist in monitoring expenditures and preparing budgets.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Manage the company finance mailbox, promptly addressing incoming communications, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with financial formulas and spreadsheets.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working for a Property Management company is advantageous.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
