A well-established and reputable company in the wholesale/retail packaging industry is seeking to appoint an Accountant very urgently.
Requirements
Matric
BCom. Degree / Diploma at a tertiary institute (Accounting/Financial)
Computer literate – Basic Windows Applications (Excel / Word) & Pastel Evolution
Minimum Bookkeeping/Accounting experience - 5years
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Responsible and reliable
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage and oversee finance department with regards to weekly and monthly expenses and revenue.
Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Identify the financial risk of the organization and propose / implement recommendations to reduce risk.
Full Debtors and Creditors accounting function.
Administer all financial aspects.
Manage expenses and budget.
Administer Petty-Cash payments / allocations and reconciliations.
Salary preparations.
VAT Reconciliations.
General administrative work / other duties required by management.
Feedback to management
Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved.
Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability
Full accounting function to balance sheet
