Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Clerk to join our agricultural business.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in finance systems and procedures, possess strong organizational abilities, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Location: Klapmuts Finance Responsibilities Compile and record journals for specific entities within the group.
Correspond with the Financial Manager on all relevant Financial administrative tasks.
Ensure accurate capturing and approval of debtors/creditors.
Inter -Company Recons.
Inter -Company Billing.
Ensure accurate capturing and approval of sales invoices to customers and from farms.
Ensure all reviews and financial activities are captured accurately and timely.
Ensure payments are allocated correctly and timely.
Ensure payments in the bank are loaded correctly and on time.
Prepare and manage cash flows.
Handle monthly statement reconciliations, intercompany confirmations, and loan confirmations.
Review VAT entries before submission to the Financial Manager.
Assist in thorough budget planning for the financial year with the Financial Manager.
Report timely to the Financial Manager on financial matters.
Ensure accurate capturing on all financial information platforms, including Xero.
Must have excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency.
General Responsibilities Assist in general office administration.
Assist managers with office admin related to operations.
Liaise with suppliers regarding orders for office as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting.
Proven experience in finance, preferably within the agricultural sector.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
Proficiency in financial software such as Xero.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Experience in agricultural or farm-related financial administration is advantageous.
