Accountant: Group role provides oversight and is responsible for the internal controls and financial reporting across the ROA/ MAH Group on behalf of the ROA management to provide assurance on the integrity of the trial balance.Key Performance ObjectivesTasksBusiness Partner
Maintain relationship and work with other Finance teams such as Corporate and Shared services
Assist Corporate and in-country teams on resolution of accounting and finance issues
Work on accounting and finance projects within the groupFinancial accountability and oversight for GroupResponsible for GL Integrity management for ROA group (Governance)
Interacts with Internal/External Auditors for the entities within the group.
Responsible for maintaining an appropriate internal control environment around the financial reporting and close process in accordance with applicable provisions of MAH Policies
Any other tasks as maybe informed by the Head of Finance and Group Financial Manager
Drive the balance sheet reviews across the group together with group
Assist with projects for the group, drive implementation of any standardisation across the group
Assist in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of system, controls and procedures for the recording of Intercompany, Agencies, Franchises and Joint Venture, Hedge and Tax Accounting transactions
Ensure proper records are maintained for dormant entities within MAH
Assist in monitoring compliance with the of Intercompany, Agencies, Franchises and Joint Venture, Hedge and Tax accounting policies
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to Intercompany, Agencies, Franchises and Joint Venture, Hedging and Tax
Provide support to in-country Finance managers and MAH teamFinancial accountability and oversight for corporateLiaison between corporate and country in all matters relating to internal controls and financial reporting.
Drive compliance within procurement processes to ensure that all work is undertaken based on a Purchase Order
Ensure all MAH suppliers have valid supplier contract, Liaise with AP/procurement
Implement and drive review processes that impact the integrity of the trial balance to improve the quality of reporting across the in MAH
Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the balance sheet reconciliations
Review the financial processes to strengthen, improve & standardise financial reporting and controls to deliver more efficient processes and an improved control environment,
Liaise with FSS in maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger through implementing best practices, building capacity and implementing process for regular Balance sheet reviews within the FSS team
Assist with the ERP financial systems changes/updates with guidance from MCG reporting team
Responsible for all MAH governance controls with the Shared Services
Manage the funding requirements for MAHQualifications
A Bachelor’s Honours degree or Equivalent Qualification in Accounting
Preferable a CAExperience
Minimum 5 years’ experience
SAP system experience
HFM knowledge and experience
Technical knowledge of current IFRS updates
