A growing SME looking for an Accountant to grow with the business.Key Responsibilities:Accounting Duties:Oversee the full accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and budgets.Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory requirements.Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, preparing all required documentation and liaising with external auditors.Implement and maintain internal control processes to safeguard company assets and enhance financial efficiency.Develop financial forecasts and reports to support strategic decision-making.Administrative Management:Oversee and manage all administrative functions, including office operations, facilities management, and procurement.Develop, implement, and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and systems to ensure organisational efficiency.Supervise and manage support staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Maintain accurate and organised records for both financial and administrative purposes.Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and stakeholders to meet organisational needs.Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and health and safety regulations.Leadership and Coordination:Work closely with leadership to align financial and administrative strategies with organisational goals.Provide regular financial and operational updates to management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement.Lead cross-departmental collaboration to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.Support staff training and development in finance and administrative processes where applicable.Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-function accounting.Experience in administrative management or a similar role is highly desirable.Skills:Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
