Accountant

Job & Company Description:
A salvage management and insurance giant seeks an experienced and innovative Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg West or Johannesburg South.

*The successful incumbent will need a good internet connection as the team are currently working from home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full finance function from daily transactional accounting up to compilation of financial statements.
This is a great role for someone who wants to grow their career in the full end-to-end accounting function.
Duties include, but not limited to preparing and submitting final trial balance, compilation and submission of management accounts and packs, tax returns and compilation of financial statements.
Education:
Bachelor degree in accounting / finance required
Job Experience & Skills Required:
SAICA / SAIPA articles completed is essential
Insurance or IT industry experience is essential and a non-negotiable
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Pastel Evolution experience will be highly advantageous
Ability to work under pressure
Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
