About the position
ENVIRONMENT:Your experience in the Plastic Packaging industry is required to fill the role of the next Account Manager for a dynamic manufacturer based in Cape Town.
The role involves traveling locally and across provinces to acquire new sales and marketing leads.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and have experience in the Plastic Packaging industry, preferably with blown film extrusion and/or cast film extrusion, and products such as shrink films, pallet wrap, lamination films, polyethylene films, food films, and plastic bags.
DUTIES:

Establish new potential sales and marketing leads for products.
Visit existing and potential customers throughout the country as necessary.
Convert potential leads into new customers through sales activities.
Manage customer accounts within your portfolio, including:

Maintaining relationships between the customer and the business.
Ensuring new orders are placed satisfactorily.
Ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Ensuring prompt payment of accounts.
Report directly to the Managing Director and Sales Manager.
Attend mandatory sales meetings.
Keep accurate records of customer data for future use.
Update price lists for individual customers.
Prepare and present sales reports as required.
Requirements:

Experience in B2B sales within the Plastic Packaging industry, preferably with blown or cast film extrusion, and products such as shrink films, pallet wrap, lamination films, polyethylene films, food films, and plastic bags.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an intermediate level.
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
