A permanent position exists within the Pre-Investment Business Centre (PIBC) for an Account Manager at the IDC Head Office, reporting to the Manager: PIBC
JOB DESCRIPTION:Working in a participative team environment, key functions of the position include:
Handle and process enquiries and applications on a daily basis with relevant recording on SAPProcess and complete Basic Assessments of applications for finance received, including gathering outstanding information to complete basic assessmentsStakeholder relations – support the Manager: Pre-Investment Business Centre in:building relations and networks within the Gauteng region with various levels of stakeholders, including sister organisations, to identify opportunities to develop a pipeline for the Gauteng Region facilitate a more focused and optimized service delivery;promoting and maintaining a good and professional image of the IDC at Roadshows, marketing campaigns, etc.building relationships and networks with sister-organisations within the Gauteng regionEffectively interact and build relationships with SBU’s to foster cooperation during the basic assessment phase;Ensure understanding of different SBU mandates, funding norms and requirements;Enhance understanding of the corporate culture and effectively adhere to all operational processesShare knowledge by coaching team members (and others as requested) on areas of expertiseDemonstrate effective team dynamics
Job RequirementsJOB COMPETENCIES:Competent in at least two IDC fundamental disciplines (due diligence experience)
AnalysingAbility to analyse numerical data and all other sources of information, to enable the critical assessment of the viability of any given transaction/funding proposal and identification and evaluation of critical risk factors in these transactions/proposals
Applying expertiseAbility to apply specialist technical expertise to understand and interpret financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must have a CA (SA) or BSc Engineering degree with post graduate qualification in finance (e.g. MBA, MBL or CFA or studying towards these)
EXPERIENCE:At least 3 - 4 years’ experience in deal makingA good understanding and application of financing instruments and evaluating economic viability of business proposals.
