The Account Analyst is primarily responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers through supporting the Account Executive / Business Manager to provide efficient service and to fulfil a sales function. The Account Analyst is expected to actively seek opportunities to sell and cross sell, which means that they need to prioritise the needs and financial wellbeing of their customers.
The purpose of the Account Analyst role is to partner with the Account Executive / Business Manager to proactively identify prospects in order to reach sales and service targets within the portfolio. The role includes administrative duties, credit management, and ensuring that compliance regulations are met in terms of lending. The role is complex and involves a wide customer base, therefore there are multiple processes that need to be monitored, maintained and initiated by the Account Analyst. The Account Analyst works closely with the Account Executive / Business Manager, however, they are required to work independently and to run the day-to-day operations independently if required.
The Account Analyst role is based in all regions, in branches which have Business Banking Suites and Entrepreneur Portfolios. These are full time positions. During busy periods the Account Analyst may be required to work for extended hours and over weekends.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Business-related qualification that is recognised by the FSB
Branch Bank experience
Retail and credit experience
Beneficial qualifications and experience:
Experience as an account analyst / business banker
Relevant training as per business banking curriculum
FAIS compliant (RE 5 certification)
Computer literate – in addition must be familiar with the Bank systems
