kpe.utoronto.caYour opportunity:The Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education Registrar & Student Services Office is charged with supporting the academic needs of over 1,100 undergraduate and 100 graduate degree students enrolled annually, as well as the 80+ teaching staff who deliver over 150 undergraduate and graduate courses each year.
Working as an integral part of the Registrar's Office team, the Academic Scheduling & Instructor Support Coordinator is responsible for providing effective and efficient service and support to Faculty and students.
The incumbent is responsible for all academic program scheduling, maintains the Faculty instructor handbook, provides administrative support to the Faculty's petitions and appeals, and coordinates the annual update and production of the Faculty Academic Calendar.Your responsibilities will include:Collecting and organizing course and/or room requirements for schedulingTroubleshooting timetabling and/or room booking conflictsMaintaining course information on student information systemsPreparing and disseminating examination timetablesDetermining logistical details required for alternative arrangements to accommodate exam conflicts for studentsActing as the first point of contact for KPE undergraduate and graduate instructors for their administrative and logistical needsKeeping well-informed on University programs, policies and proceduresLiaising with academic units and stakeholders to support academic calendar production initiativesEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experienceMinimum two years in an academic environmentExperience using academic course scheduling software such as CLASS, Fusion and InfosilemExperience in supporting faculty and working in a student service environmentStrong sense of professionalism and a high level of customer service delivery is essentialExcellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsDemonstrate tact, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential mattersDemonstrated decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong computer skills and aptitude in word processing, spreadsheets, database management and website maintenanceStrong research and analytical skills, ability to understand and apply information, regulation and guidelinesTo be successful in this role you will be:CooperativeMulti-taskerOrganizedTactfulClosing Date: 02/10/2025, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - ContinuingSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715.
