Role Overview: As the Financial Director, you'll be at the helm of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll contribute to the strategic direction of the business while overseeing day-to-day financial management. Your insights and leadership will be critical in shaping our financial strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead and Develop: Manage and develop the financial team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Costing and Accounting: Oversee all costing and financial accounting processes. Monthly Management Reports: Prepare, consolidate, and interpret comprehensive monthly management reports for the Board. Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive improvements in budgeting and forecasting processes. Compliance and Governance: Ensure audit and legal compliance, maintaining high corporate governance standards. SARS Reporting: Communicate and report on all SARS-related matters. Project Management: Lead projects related to systems and process enhancements. Foreign Exchange: Manage foreign exchange transactions. Information Systems: Take accountability for information systems. Employee Relations: Guide and manage employee relations, fostering a positive company culture. Group KPIs: Set and drive overall group Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Requirements: Qualifications: Minimum CA (SA) or equivalent qualification. Experience: 8 years of post-articles experience in financial management. Management: 5-8 years of management experience. Industry Advantage: Fruit processing industry experience is advantageous and preferred. Skills: Strong organizational skills, solid written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Sage X3.
