Accounts Payable Clerk - Hotel West Rand Johannesburg

A mediium sized city Hotel on the West Rand with banqueting facilities seeks to employ a Hotel Accounts Payable Clerk with the following atributes:Qualifications and Experience:Diploma or Degree in Accounting would be advantageous.Sound knowledge of Accounts Payable principles2 Years' working experience in an accounting environment would be advantageousSage Pastel Partner experience and knowledgeSystems Knowledge:Sound knowledge of Sage Pastel partnerKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite of packagesKnowledge of Business banking (ABSA and FNB preferably)Personal Skills and attributes:Strong personality and ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organizationStrong analytical abilityGood verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of Numerical abilityHigh Degree of accuracy and attention to detail with data capturingAbility to work independently and effectively in a teamAbility to adhere to deadlinesAbility to maintain required work standards at all timesDuties and ResponsibilitiesPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording supplier invoices and other relevant accounts payable data on PastelEnsure All Creditor Invoices are SARS CompliantReconcile Supplier Statements with Supplier Ledger Accounts bi-monthly.Investigate discrepancies arising from reconciliations and resolve supplier queriesPrepare and submit payments requests with all relevant supporting documents timeously for mid-month and month-end payment runs to the Financial manager.Adhere to deadlines as set by Financial ManagerPerform Daily / Weekly Cash UpsAssist in other relevant department activities from time to time as per Management RequirementsGood team player willing to take direction easilyDrivers licence and a car·Applicants who do not have the essential requirements, will NOT be contacted, communicated with or replied to.
